Cummins Introduces Centum Series Generators
Cummins Inc. on July 13 unveiled the first set of Centum Series generators at a virtual event . The new generators “are designed to meet customers’ precise power needs with high-efficiency engines that take up less space,” the company said in a statement.
“The Centum Series generators represent a significant shift in Cummins’ approach to power system design, offering a new level of flexibility, efficiency and sustainability,”.
“The Centum series provides the power density needed while reducing installation, fuel and maintenance costs. Centum, the Latin word for ‘one hundred,’ represents the century of Cummins Power Generation that precedes us and the company’s vision for the next 100 years.”said Kunj Sheth, director of global marketing – Mission Critical, Cummins.
The Centum Series is a high power density system that delivers power to meet performance specifications without having to buy more than necessary.
Provide the flexibility to deliver accurate power in a smaller footprint while meeting ever-changing sustainability standards
With the Centum Series, the user specifies exactly the power needed – no more, no less. The Centum Series is a high performance, high power density system that meets the needs of advanced users in a smaller footprint, allowing them to meet performance specifications without having to buy more than they need.
The first release in this evolving series of generators, the Centum C1250D6E / C1500D6E generator set introduced today includes:
- The QSK38 motor and S Series alternator provide superior energy efficiency in a smaller footprint.
- Compact design allows for easy installation, service and maintenance.
- Reliable transient and high altitude/environmental performance.
- Compliant with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 2 to Tier 4 standards.
- Unmatched built-in diagnostics ensure easy operation and maintenance.
- Standard three-year warranty and global availability of technicians, parts and engineering support.
As emissions standards around the world become more stringent, the Centum Series generators were developed with an eye toward future standards to help users meet sustainability goals. They have the flexibility to meet or exceed emissions standards without compromising performance. Centum series generators can be configured to run on diesel fuel, low-emission diesel fuel, and biodiesel fuels such as hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO).
Every Centum Series generator is designed, built, installed and serviced by Cummins for dependable operation and total system integration. All consumable and replacement parts fit together perfectly, making routine maintenance and repairs much easier.
